About

Tuesday, January 22, 2008 By Clay |

My name is Clay Fisher and I’ve been a Internet and search marketing strategist for over 10 years. I am currently the Global Director of Search Marketing at Monster.com and a graduate student at Columbia University in the Big Apple. I started building websites and driving traffic to them from search engines back in college in 1998. I started my own search and online marketing consulting firm soon after. I have worked with all types of companies (big, small, B2C, B2B,) and enjoy the daily creative and quantitative challenges search marketing presents.

While I built and manage one of the largest search marketing programs on the net, I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I have four patents pending; one relating to search engine keyword market share, another relating to semantic search technology, and a couple more that I’m not allowed to talk about (see disclaimer below).

I’ve also been consulting on Internet business, traffic acquisition, and online marketing strategies for quite a while; however, I’ll try to keep things focused on search here.

When I’m not reading, writing, consulting, teaching, and learning about search marketing I’m designing and building web applications (doesn’t everyone in their spare time?) and toying with new Internet business models.

If you’re interested in what I’ll be writing about read the welcome post

Here’s a peek at what I’m reading on Netvibes each day (aka my blog roll)…
